The EU-Latin American ICT Gateway - workshop objectives
From September 27-29, 2010, the ICT 2010 – a biannual forum of ICT research and innovation – will take place in Brussels, Belgium. The event is a gathering point for researchers, business people, investors, and high level policy makers in the field of digital innovation. ICT 2010 will focus on policy priorities such as Europe’s Digital Agenda and the next financial programme of the European Union for funding research and innovation in ICT. As in previous years, the ICT 2010 event is likely to attract a big number of researchers from all continents. Seizing this occasion, EULARINET:The INCONET for Latin American countries, supported by PROIDEAL Plus, FIRST and FORESTA, organizes a workshop especially focusing on LA-EU cooperation, which is aimed at:
• Bringing together researchers from EU and LA to establish contact with potential partners during a “project café” partnering session on specific topics and information on calls 2011/2012
• Enhancing your scientific network
• Defining future perspectives of collaboration.
Before the workshop, participants will be asked to provide profile information, a project idea and to describe the partner they are looking for. These documents will be compiled and disseminated to all other participants along with additional background information. Through making available such an overview, we aim at facilitating the exchange of ideas and the elaboration of joint project proposals.
Workshop participants: There are around 80 places available for the workshop. Participants will include Latin American and European researchers from industry and academia; FP7 National Contact Points (NCPs) on ICT and EU representatives. Your benefits of attending the workshop
