Cross-cultural communication needs knowledge about cultures and differences as well as about the possibilities of turning theses differences into project assets.

In order to avoid misunderstandings and thus inefficiency of project work, it is necessary to observe the possible cultural differences from the very beginning of a project.

The presentation "Intercultural communication in research and technology project initiatives" provides useful information on aspects of intercultural communication for the European researcher 's community as well as for third country participants and should help researchers from different parts of the world to effectively collaborate by knowing potential cultural peculiarities of the partner country or a region.
