Uruguayan call for working Visits to Europe to participate in the Horizon 2020 Program

The Liaison Office of Science, Technology and Innovation with the European Union (link), invited at last February 2015 researchers and enterprises, to submit applications for the funding of actions oriented to facilitate the mobility of researchers, project managers and institutional representatives from universities and research centers, development and innovation (I+D+I), from Uruguay to the European Union. The purpose of this call was to promote the collaboration between groups of I+D+I, with a view to participation in the Horizon 2020 program, in the European Technology Platforms (ETPs), in the Joint Technology Initiatives (JTIs) or Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). This call was developed within the objectives of Uruguay INNOVA, bilateral project Uruguay - European Union.

Researchers, project managers and institutional representatives from universities and I+D+I of Uruguay specialized in some of the thematic priorities of Horizon 2020 program, could apply for funding.

The Uruguayan call for working Visits to Europe to participate in the Program Horizon 2020 closed on the 28th of February 2015 with 7 applications selected to facilitate the mobility. It is planning to make a new call near June, which is still to be defined.

In this sense, Uruguay seeks to strengthen the national participation in quality project partnerships, towards the approval of innovative and competitive projects.
